ABC Dental’s Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
At ABC Dental we take the health and safety of our patients and team members very seriously. As the situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19) has evolved, we have implemented several measures to help keep our patients and staff safe.
Highest Infection Control and Hygiene Standards
Your wellbeing is our priority
• Quite prior to this event, we maintain the highest standards of universal infection control and hygiene to eliminate transmission of cross infections
• Standards include sterilisation of all instruments, deep cleaning of clinical areas between patients and usage of personal protective equipment such as masks and gloves.
• Additional cleaning of common areas – reception, counters, doors, handrails, etc
Doing Our Part
Acting out of an abundance of caution
• In accordance to the Australian Government announcement, we are proactively screening any patients who have been overseas in the last 2 weeks, and asking them to observe a 2 week self-isolation period.
• We are screening any patients for flu-like symptoms and postponing their appointment
• The same applies to our staff which must observe self-isolation in any of the above cases
• We’re also currently looking to implement touch-free temperature checks for our staff and patients.
Following advice from health authorities
We will keep you informed when required
• Our Tier-1 practices are open and trading as per usual. Following advice from the Prime Minister, health facilities are considered essential services
• We have increased the frequency of cleaning hard touch surfaces throughout our practices and high traffic areas in the practice.
What we ask of you
• Limiting the number of people in our waiting areas. Please bring no more than one person to your appointment with you. Additional companions are asked to wait outside the clinic to maximise social distancing.
• Please ring us to reschedule your appointment if you:
1. Have had contact with someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19
2. Have arrived in Australia from overseas as of 16 March 2020
3. Are feeling unwell with flu like symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath or sore throat
